Clips that are committed, either by disabling Elastic Audio on a track or by moving a clip to a track without Elastic Audio enabled, are written to disk as new audio files. These new audio files include the audio in the clip, plus any fades, and also an additional 5 seconds of audio before and after the clip, if available.
